On August 23, 2007, the Private Security and Investigative Services Act came into effect in Ontario. The Act requires that security personnel be licensed. As part of the licensing requirements, security personnel and private investigators will be required to have yearly training in the areas of legal awareness, offences, behaviour management, handcuffing (if carried), searching and baton (if carried). ***Ministry Announces Basic Training and Testing Regulation***
As of April 15, 2010, the new basic Training and Testing Regulation takes effect. This Regulation helps strengthen the professional requirements for security guards and private investigators and enhance public safety.
All new applicants must undergo a basic training program and pass a test of their knowledge before they can apply for a security guard and/or private investigator licence. Existing licensees do not need to take the basic training course before attempting the ministry test. Beginning July 16, 2010, existing licensees are required to pass the ministry test before applying for their licence renewal.

***Emergency First Aid and CRP/AED Training***
We now offer Emergency First Aid with Level "C" CPR training for $59.95 plus GST. This training is recognized and approved by WSIB/WCB in all provinces. Includes training manual, testing and certificate upon successful completion of the training. Please contact us for dates.
